Job Title: Patient Safety Head – Patient Safety & Pharmacovigilance Function: Patient Safety / Pharmacovigilance Role Overview A global healthcare organization is seeking a Patient Safety Head to serve as the senior Patient Safety & Pharmacovigilance (PV) leader in the local market. This role is accountable for ensuring full compliance with global, regional, and local PV regulations, while acting as the primary interface with health authorities and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
Act as the senior representative of the Safety function in-country
Hold end-to-end accountability for all local PV activities
Ensure inspection readiness of the local PV system and serve as local PV authority contact
Act as (or delegate) the Responsible Person for Pharmacovigilance (RPP) as required by local regulation
Lead, develop, and ensure training of local PV teams
Manage PV compliance for outsourced activities and local partnerships
Own local PV resources and budget in collaboration with regional/global teams
Build strong cross-functional partnerships with Medical, Regulatory, Quality, Commercial, Legal, and Country Leadership teams
Required Experience & Skills
Deep experience with pharmacovigilance systems and regulatory authority interactions
Strong leadership capability in a regulated environment
Proven ability to operate in complex, international, cross-functional organizations
Strategic, solution-oriented mindset with strong prioritization skills
Excellent communication skills with attention to both detail and big-picture risk
Technical Expertise
Strong knowledge of PV regulations and systems
Experience managing safety data from multiple sources
Capability to evaluate safety signals and define risk management actions
Education
Advanced healthcare degree (MD strongly preferred) or equivalent qualification
