Our client, a renowned French pharmaceutical company, is seeking a Legal Specialist to join their team in Tokyo. This role offers the opportunity to manage local legal matters and collaborate with external law firms, providing a platform for career growth in the pharmaceutical industry.

Key Responsibilities:

- Consult on legal issues and propose solutions
- Review contracts in Japanese and English
- Engage and supervise external law firms
- Handle litigation with external law firms
- Manage corporate secretary matters
- Plan and execute internal legal processes
- Ensure compliance with Japanese corporate law
- Collaborate on pharmaceutical compliance regulations

Qualifications:

- 3+ years in international pharma company in Japan
- Legal qualification in Japan, US, UK, or other country
- Japanese mother tongue
- Fluent in English for contract review/amendment
- 1+ year experience in an established law firm
- Experience with contract management systems
- Familiarity with Japanese corporate law
- Experience collaborating with external law firms
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical compliance regulations
