IT Manager/Head of IT

A top Japanese manufacturing company is looking for an experienced IT Manager to manage IT operations in Japan. This role offers the chance to lead a committed team and take part in global projects, especially in Southeast Asia. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader, focusing on IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• - Lead a team of about five IT staff, handling hiring, training, and performance reviews.
• - Oversee the setup and upkeep of IT systems like servers, networks, and devices, working with regional network teams.
• - Provide direct technical support for hardware, software, and network issues, and manage helpdesk systems for quick problem-solving.
• - Head IT projects such as system upgrades and new technology setups, working with various teams to meet deadlines and budgets.
• - Handle vendor relationships for IT services and align IT strategies with business goals through effective communication.
• - Create and enforce IT policies to meet industry standards, and conduct audits for security and compliance.
• - Develop and test disaster recovery plans to ensure uninterrupted operations.

Qualifications:

• - 3-5 years of experience in technical leadership in a global or cross-functional setting.
• - Skilled in MS Windows, Office Suite (365), Meraki, VoIP, iOS, Android, and network management tools.
• - Business-level English and fluent Japanese; Mandarin is a plus.
• - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience.
