Job Title: Technical Manager - Factory Automation

Location: Osaka or Yokohama

One of Japan's premier manufacturing companies is seeking a Technical Manager to bolster factory automation operations. This role is pivotal in guiding the technical team and streamlining the advanced automation processes.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and expand the technical team in Japan, focusing on system solutions and troubleshooting
• Utilize Factory Automation competencies to enhance solution packages with custom products, software integration, and 3rd party collaborations
• Organize and facilitate new product launch activities such as training, demonstrations, and market feedback
• Collaborate closely with the global Project Management team to track local market trends and comply with industry needs
• Maintain continuous technical support for sales projects, foster a customer-centric approach, and stimulate regional teamwork

Requirements:

• Degree or equivalent in Electronics, Mechanics, Industrial Engineering, or relevant fields
• Prior experience in automation projects and technical management, with proficiency in PLC-based automation platforms
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese
• Familiarity with PC-based control and programming, PLC programming, and basic CAD for layout and technical drawing
• Understanding of complex sensor applications and data handling in factory automation is preferred
• Availability for travel within Japan and regionally

必要な資格・経験:

• 電子工学、機械工学、産業工学、または関連分野の学位または同等の資格
• オートメーションプロジェクトと技術管理の経験、およびPLCベースのオートメーションプラットフォームに関する熟練度
• 英語と日本語のバイリンガル能力
• PCベースの制御とプログラミング、PLCプログラミング、基本的なCADレイアウトと技術図面に関する知識
• 複雑なセンサーアプリケーションとファクトリーオートメーションにおけるデータ処理に関する理解は優遇
• 日本国内および地域内での出張の可能性
