Head of IT Security (FinTech) - Work in Chinese!

Our client are a fast-growing fintech company recruiting a Head of IT Security to join their team in Tokyo.

This is a chance to build a team from scratch within a growing investment and trading platform, with great cashflow & funding..

This role requires fluency in Chinese language, and the ability to communicate in English. Japanese ability is helpful, but not required!

Key Responsibilities

• - Hire and manage all IT security staff.
• - Lead IT Security strategy.
• - Set up and maintain security systems to ensure strong data protection.
• - Conduct regular IT risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, implement mitigation strategies.
• - Manage the security of network and office equipment, including configuration changes and fault responses.
• - Monitor and analyze security alarms and logs to address and mitigate potential threats.
• - Lead responses to IT security incidents.
• - Support fast service recovery and implement measures to prevent future incidents.
• - Design and run security awareness programs for employees in Japan to ensure compliance with security policies.

Required Qualifications

• - 8+ years of experience in IT security and operations management
• - Experience within software, internet, financial or FinTech industries.
• - Proficiency in network security, system security, application security, and data security.
• - Team management experience (preferred).
• - Familiarity with ISO 27001 and ITIL standards; CISSP certification is preferred.
• - Must be fluent in Chinese.
