A leading global retail company is looking for an experienced FP&A Controller to support their Japan branch. This role is crucial in driving growth through financial analysis and working with business leaders. If you have experience in retail finance and speak Japanese and English fluently, this could be the right job for you. This position allows you to influence the financial strategy of a well-known retail company and use your financial skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- - Perform financial analyses to help business teams make informed decisions.
- - Manage monthly reporting for net sales and profit and loss (P&L), including analyzing differences from forecasts. Lead data collection for forecasting.
- - Review key performance indicators to suggest plans for meeting sales and profit goals.
- - Oversee sales reporting, including pricing and profitability checks.
- - Work with internal teams and external partners to improve financial results and efficiency.
- - Provide special reports and analysis as needed by the Country Manager.
Required Skills and Experience:
- - Strong knowledge of finance and accounting, with skills in Microsoft Office.
- - Ability to manage financial data carefully and proactively.
- - Strong communication skills for sharing financial insights and working with others.
- - Degree in Finance or a related field.
- - At least 3 years of experience in a controlling role, ideally in retail.
- - Fluent in Japanese and English.
