Our client in the cosmetics sector is searching for a skilled and ambitious Demand Planner to play a pivotal role in their business planning efforts. This opportunity allows you to engage with multiple departments across Japan and internationally, with a focus on refining demand forecasting and procurement processes within the organization's operations.

Key Duties

• Collaborate with relevant teams to develop effective and precise demand plans
• Improve forecast accuracy to meet diverse sales requirements across all product types
• Streamline forecasting processes and evaluate the success of promotional campaigns
• Work with Marketing and Sales teams to devise solid forecasting approaches for new product introductions
• Supervise forecast models for various channels, such as store, web, wholesale, and B2B
• Facilitate local Sales & Operations Planning discussions with product marketing and sales channel representatives
• Assess and harmonize forecasts, historical results, and budgets by brand and channel
• Partner with Finance, Marketing, and Sales teams to fine-tune forecasts and manage inventory levels

Qualifications

Essential:

• At least 2 years of experience in analytical and planning roles
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint)
• BA/BS degree in a relevant field
• Knowledge of SAP, Business Intelligence tools, and similar software systems
• Background in cosmetics, fashion/apparel, or own brand retail environments
