Job Description

We are looking for an experienced CFO for a leading FinTech startup in Japan. You will oversee the Finance & Accounting team, develop strategies, and support company growth. As part of the executive team, you will play a key role in guiding the company. The position offers a dynamic work environment with team members from over 35 countries, opportunities for growth, and flexible remote work options.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage all financial activities, including accounting, budgeting, and financial planning.
- Provide financial insights to support company strategies.
- Create and maintain financial models for planning and decisions.
- Work with international financial institutions on Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) products.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Oversee financial reporting, audits, and taxes.
- Manage relationships with investors, the board, and external partners.
- Work with other departments to meet organizational goals.
- Lead and mentor the finance team to promote excellence.
- Advise the CEO and executive team on financial impacts of business choices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; advanced degrees like MBA, CPA, or CFA are preferred.
- Significant experience in financial leadership, especially in fast-growing settings.
- Skilled in financial modeling and analysis, with the ability to simplify complex data.
- Proven experience in managing stakeholders and building strong relationships.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in developing finance teams.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Japanese.
- Experience in multinational or cross-cultural environments is a plus.

必要なスキルと資格

- 財務、会計、経済学または関連分野の学士号; MBA、CPA、CFAなどの高度な学位が望ましい。
- 特に急成長する環境での財務リーダーシップの経験が豊富。
- 財務モデリングと分析に熟練し、複雑なデータを簡素化する能力を持つ。
- ステークホルダーを管理し、強固な関係を構築する実績がある。
- 強いリーダーシップスキルと財務チームの育成経験。
- 英語と日本語での優れたコミュニケーションスキル。
- 多国籍または異文化環境での経験があると尚良し。
