Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on banking and finance to a wide range of clients.
• Manage financial transactions like loans, mergers, and acquisitions, ensuring they meet legal requirements.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and financial agreements to safeguard client interests.
• Stay updated on Japanese and international banking regulations for client compliance.
• Conduct risk assessments and create strategies to reduce legal risks.

Qualifications

• Law degree from an accredited university; licensed to practice in Japan or other jurisdictions is preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in banking and finance law, ideally in a law firm or corporate legal department.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, fluent in English and Japanese.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently or in a team.
