Accounting Manager

Our healthcare company is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the financial operations of our organization. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the accounting team and ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely payment of bills, and adherence to accounting principles and standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare accounting and a proven track record of managing financial processes and systems.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and healthcare regulations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance and provide reports to senior management.
• Manage the annual budget process and ensure accurate forecasting and financial planning.
• Oversee the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors, banks, and other financial institutions.
• Ensure timely and accurate payment of bills and invoices.
• Manage the accounts receivable process, including collections and reconciliations.
• Implement and maintain financial controls to prevent fraud and ensure accuracy.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing training and guidance as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in healthcare accounting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and healthcare regulations.
• Proven track record of managing financial processes and systems.
• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
