Position: Planning and Allocation Manager

Reports to: Director, Merchandise Planning

Direct Reports: 1 Allocator

Location: Tokyo, Japan

Summary:

Our client, a leading retail company, is seeking a highly motivated Planning and Allocation Manager to join their team in Tokyo, Japan. The role is responsible for driving the business through strategic merchandise allocation planning, controlled inventory management, actionable reporting and insightful commercial analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail planning & allocation, excellent leadership skills, analytical abilities, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve financial goals and improve sales and margin.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the development of seasonal plans for fashion/seasonal & basic products
• Create financial targets for the business unit
• Guide regional seasonal plans for fashion/seasonal and basic products
• Drive weekly in-season analysis & reporting on OTB
• Create pre-season financial plans and on-going forecasts for business units
• Identify sales opportunities/risks

Qualifications and Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in retail planning and allocation
• Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills in English
• Proficiency in MS Office
