About the Role
They are looking for a VP of Engineering, AI R&D to lead the engineering strategy and operations of their AI research organization. You will partner closely with research leadership to scale teams, improve research productivity, build world-class AI infrastructure, and help translate cutting-edge research into scalable products.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of software engineering experience in AI/ML
- Experience leading and scaling AI research or engineering teams (10+ members)
- Strong knowledge of Transformers, deep learning, Python, and PyTorch
- Experience with distributed training and large-scale compute infrastructure
- Proven people management and hiring experience
- Business-level English and fluent Japanese
