I’m supporting a fast-growing FinTech and AI company in Tokyo that works closely with some of Japan’s largest financial institutions.
They are hiring a Senior Product Engineer to build AI-powered security products for banks and enterprise financial systems.

The team is developing software that analyzes source code, system architecture, libraries, dependencies, and configurations to identify vulnerabilities, security risks, and improvement opportunities across complex financial systems.
The goal is to turn deep cybersecurity expertise into scalable FinTech products using rules, algorithms, Generative AI, and AI Agents.

What you can own
  • Build AI-powered security products for major financial institutions
  • Design vulnerability analysis and security diagnostic features
  • Analyze source code, architecture, dependencies, and configuration data
  • Turn expert security knowledge into reusable product capabilities
  • Apply Generative AI and AI Agents to security analysis workflows
  • Influence architecture, technical direction, and product strategy
  • Work directly with security specialists, PMs, consultants, and financial-sector clients
  • Take products from idea and PoC through production deployment

Who they’re looking for
  • Strong software engineering background
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity, vulnerabilities, and attack methods
  • Ability to translate security problems into product requirements and working software
  • Interest in building products for complex financial environments
  • Business-level English for technical communication

Experience with SAST, DAST, SCA, static analysis, CVE / CWE / CVSS, SBOM, software supply chain security, penetration testing, CSPM, CNAPP, or enterprise security is highly relevant.
This role is particularly interesting for engineers who want to work at the intersection of FinTech, Cybersecurity, and AI, while building products used in highly regulated, mission-critical environments.
