Senior M&A Consultant / Tokyo

A leading consulting firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior M&A Consultant to join their Tokyo-based team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management and organizational HR, with a demonstrated ability to navigate complex domestic and cross-border transactions.

Role Overview:

The Senior M&A Consultant will:

• Work collaboratively with project managers to lead multiple M&A projects
• Ensure exceptional service delivery and foster client relationships
• Analyze and advise on M&A risks related to people and organizations
• Develop risk mitigation strategies and execute seamless M&A plans
• Provide insights on deal operations, project efficiency, and negotiation support
• Offer comprehensive post-acquisition support, including HR system revisions, integrations, and value-adding initiatives

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher (MBA or equivalent degree preferred)
• Proven experience in organizational HR in a corporate or consulting environment (global HR and compensation experience a plus), project management within the consulting sector, or M&A expertise in pre-M&A / PMI or consulting firm projects
• Proficiency in English & Japanese
