I am hiring a Senior Backend Engineer for a Japanese fintech group that provides the technology infrastructure behind digital banking, securities, insurance, credit, and investment services.
Rather than developing a single financial product, the group partners with major financial institutions and large enterprises to design, launch, and operate new financial services. Its work covers product strategy, UI/UX, architecture, engineering, data utilization, and post-launch growth.
This role sits within a high-impact fintech solutions team responsible for the full delivery lifecycle, from business requirements and architecture design to development, release, and production operations.

What you will do
• Design and develop backend systems for digital financial services
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Select appropriate architectures and technologies
• Review code and improve engineering quality
• Build and operate cloud infrastructure on AWS
• Communicate with clients and assess technical feasibility
• Handle production operations and incidents
• Mentor engineers and support team development

Tech stack
Go, AWS, Terraform, Docker, MySQL, Aurora

What we are looking for
• Backend development experience using Go or another statically typed language
• Experience building and operating web applications
• AWS or other public cloud infrastructure experience
• Knowledge of database, network, and system performance optimization
• Secure coding and automated testing experience
• Container-based development and operations experience
• Business-level Japanese
