A newly established AI research startup in Tokyo is hiring Research Scientists to work on proprietary machine-learning algorithms, inference mechanisms, and multimodal AI.

The company recently raised approximately 10B in its first funding round. It is led by the former CEO of a major Japanese consumer technology platform and has assembled researchers and engineers from top universities and major technology companies.

You will:
  • Research and design novel machine-learning algorithms
  • Develop inference mechanisms and multimodal AI technology
  • Optimize models and move research ideas into working prototypes
  • Collaborate closely with Research Engineers to shorten the path from theory to product
Ideal background:
  • Master’s degree or PhD in an AI-related research field
  • First-author publication at a top international conference, or equivalent research achievements
  • Strong interest in distributed training, HPC, AI safety, or model optimization
