Our client, a renowned company in the fashion, apparel, and sports industry, is seeking a Merchandising Assistant Manager to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to be the key product point person in Japan, collaborating with the Asia Pacific centralized Merchandising team to drive and maximize sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct competitor and pricing analysis through market visits
- Communicate Japan market needs to Asia Pacific Merchandising team
- Create and present seasonal merchandise strategy to local teams
- Support cross-functional teams to address sales trends and inventory issues
- Develop weekly action plans to achieve sales targets
- Analyze sales data to optimize merchandising strategies
- Coordinate with store managers for product feedback and improvements
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in apparel industry
- Fluency in Japanese and English
- Experience with merchandising software (e.g., SAP, Oracle Retail) is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong analytical skills for market and competitor analysis
