Position: Merchandise Planner (Tokyo, Japan)

Reports to: Senior Manager, Merchandising Planning

Location: Tokyo, Japan

Summary:

Our client, a leading retail company, is seeking a highly motivated Merchandise Planner to join their team in Tokyo, Japan. The Merchandise Planner will be responsible for forecasting sales and gross margin, managing inventory plans, analyzing sales and margins, and working closely with cross-functional teams to drive strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Forecasting and analyzing sales and gross margins
• Managing inventory plans to support in-stock and inventory turn objectives
• Formulating product purchase plans
• Analyzing sales and margins to make strategic decisions
• Partnering with Supply Chain and Finance on inventory communication

Qualifications and Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in retail merchandise planning
• Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills in English
• Proficiency in MS Office
