Our client are a global law firm, seeking a Mergers & Acquisitions Associate.

This is a rare opportunity open to native English speakers in Japan. While Japanese ability is preferred, it is not mandatory. We encourage qualified applicants to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Manage M&A transactions with a focus on legal compliance and detail.
• Conduct detailed due diligence to assess risks and opportunities.
• Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents effectively.
• Provide accurate legal advice on M&A activities.
• Work collaboratively with teams for efficient transaction management.

Qualifications:

• Legal degree (JD or equivalent) from the US, UK, Australia, or a Commonwealth country.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience a law firm or private practice.
• Proven experience in managing complex M&A deals.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong professional ethics.
