Overview
Our client is a global technology company providing cloud and digital solutions, seeking a Legal Counsel to support its expanding Japan business. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior management on a broad range of legal and compliance matters, including governance processes and regulatory requirements. The position features strong compensation and flexible work arrangements within an expanding Japanese tech firm.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Support corporate governance and legal compliance in Japan business
  • Develop and maintain board and management meeting governance processes
  • Prepare and review corporate legal documents and disclosure materials
  • Develop internal policies, compliance programs, and whistleblowing processes
  • Handle legal incidents, disciplinary matters, and privacy-related issues
  • Advise senior management on legal risks and corporate governance
  • Support IPO preparation and securities law compliance

Requirements:

  • Bengoshi Qualification
  • 4+ years legal experience in-house or law firm
  • Native Japanese, Business English language skills
  • Knowledge of corporate governance and compliance frameworks
  • Experience developing internal policies and compliance training programs
  • Familiarity with corporate board and committee governance procedures
