Our client, a premium beverage company in the Food & Beverage industry, is seeking an IT Administrator/Manager to join their team in Hokkaido. This role offers the unique opportunity to work across both office IT and production-floor technology, with clear career growth potential to become Head of IT for Japan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues
- Program and maintain PLCs, SCADA, and HMIs
- Implement automation frameworks for manufacturing processes
- Administer servers and networks, including user account management
- Collaborate on IT security measures and compliance
- Provide technical assistance to end-users
- Analyze system logs to identify recurring issues
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as Tier 2 IT Support Specialist
- In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications
- Strong expertise in diagnosing and resolving network-related issues
- Proficiency in Active Directory, Microsoft Office Suite, and desktop imaging
- Japanese and English proficiency
- Ability/willingness to travel within Japan required, International Travel possible
- Experience with PLCs, SCADA, and HMIs
- Experience with automation frameworks in manufacturing
- Familiarity with IT security measures and compliance
- Experience with server and network administration
