What you’ll do
- Lead a data platform engineering team
- Drive architecture and technical decision-making for core platform systems
- Partner with product and business stakeholders on roadmap and execution
- Build the foundation for scalable data infrastructure, governance, and long-term platform strategy
- Hire, coach, and grow engineers while improving team effectiveness
- Experience managing engineering teams of 10+ people
- Strong leadership in product growth and technical problem-solving
- Experience hiring, mentoring, evaluating, and building teams
- Solid technical background in data platforms, distributed systems, or core infrastructure
- Fluent business-level Japanese
- Experience leading data platform, search, or MLOps-related organizations
- Experience modernizing or migrating large-scale complex systems
- Familiarity with technologies such as GCP, Kubernetes, Spark, Iceberg, Java, or Rust
- Business-level English
- Compensation up to JPY 18M
