I’m supporting a listed Japanese AI and Data Science company that works with major enterprises to solve complex business and industry-level problems through data, machine learning, and optimization.
They are hiring Data Scientists who want to stay hands-on technically while taking more ownership of real business problems.

What you’ll work on
  • Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Statistical Modeling, and Mathematical Optimization
  • Data collection, preprocessing, analysis, and visualization
  • Translating business problems into analytical hypotheses and technical approaches
  • Presenting findings and recommendations directly to clients
  • Supporting PoCs through to system implementation
  • Improving internal Data Science methodologies and reusable knowledge

For more experienced candidates, there is also an opportunity to lead small to mid-sized Data Science projects, including project planning, client communication, and technical direction.

Who they’re looking for
  • Hands-on Data Science experience using Python or R
  • Strong knowledge of Machine Learning, Statistics, or related quantitative methods
  • Experience working with real-world datasets and translating analysis into business outcomes
  • Comfortable explaining technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Interested in continuing to code rather than moving completely away from technical work

Experience with MLOps, cloud platforms, data infrastructure, academic research, or industries such as manufacturing, logistics, and healthcare is a plus.
This could be particularly interesting for Data Scientists who want to move beyond isolated modeling work and gain more exposure to problem definition, client-facing work, project leadership, and real-world implementation.
