About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join the Supply Chain Management (SCM) organization and play a key role in building and operating enterprise-scale data platforms. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and curated datasets that power business intelligence, analytics, and AI/ML initiatives across the supply chain. Working closely with business stakeholders, digital transformation teams, and analytics professionals, you will ensure data quality, governance, reliability, and scalability while enabling data-driven decision-making throughout the organization. This position offers the opportunity to work with modern Azure-based data technologies in a highly impactful business environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field
- 4–7+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles
- Strong SQL skills and experience developing production-grade data solutions
- Hands-on experience with Python for data engineering and automation
- Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Databricks
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT design and implementation
- Experience building and maintaining dimensional data models (star schema and snowflake schema)
- Experience developing data solutions that support BI, analytics, KPI reporting, and AI/ML initiatives
- Experience operating production data platforms, including monitoring, incident management, and SLA ownership
- Knowledge of data quality management, governance, lineage, access control, and auditing practices
- Business-level Japanese and English communication skills
- Experience with streaming or event-driven data ingestion architectures
- Knowledge of DataOps or DevOps practices, including CI/CD for data pipelines
- Experience collaborating with Power BI teams and supporting semantic data models
- Exposure to MLOps or data platforms supporting AI and machine learning workflows
- Experience integrating enterprise systems such as SAP APO, SAP ECC, or similar ERP platforms
