About the Role We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join the Supply Chain Management (SCM) organization and play a key role in building and operating enterprise-scale data platforms. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and curated datasets that power business intelligence, analytics, and AI/ML initiatives across the supply chain. Working closely with business stakeholders, digital transformation teams, and analytics professionals, you will ensure data quality, governance, reliability, and scalability while enabling data-driven decision-making throughout the organization. This position offers the opportunity to work with modern Azure-based data technologies in a highly impactful business environment.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field
4–7+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles
Strong SQL skills and experience developing production-grade data solutions
Hands-on experience with Python for data engineering and automation
Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Databricks
Strong understanding of ETL/ELT design and implementation
Experience building and maintaining dimensional data models (star schema and snowflake schema)
Experience developing data solutions that support BI, analytics, KPI reporting, and AI/ML initiatives
Experience operating production data platforms, including monitoring, incident management, and SLA ownership
Knowledge of data quality management, governance, lineage, access control, and auditing practices
Business-level Japanese and English communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with streaming or event-driven data ingestion architectures
Knowledge of DataOps or DevOps practices, including CI/CD for data pipelines
Experience collaborating with Power BI teams and supporting semantic data models
Exposure to MLOps or data platforms supporting AI and machine learning workflows
Experience integrating enterprise systems such as SAP APO, SAP ECC, or similar ERP platforms
