A Fortune500 automotive company is looking for a Financial Controller to join their HQ in Tokyo. The ideal candidate will be primarily responsible for the company’s financial planning, analysis and reporting, budgeting capacity acting as a key member in the Japan Finance team, reporting into Finance Manager.

Your Responsibilities  

• Reporting for management and external stakeholders on financials and financial KPIs
• Reporting for Japan and Regional management teams on financial KPIs, planning and analysis (IFRS basis)
• Reporting on financial results for internal and external stakeholders (JGAAP basis)
• Monthly: creating monthly closing schedule, issuing Monthly Management Report on financial KPIs and business updates
• Quarterly: creating financial reports on quarterly results together with Valuation teams and others and reporting to Regional management teams
• Analysis and reporting on sales and expenses
• Annual planning process
• Reports for annual review by credit rating agency
• Opportunities to closely work with the regional office, CFO, and department heads and to be exposed to various kinds of management information which requires speed and own judgment to handle

The Skills and Experience You Need To Succeed

• Fluent Japanese/ Business English
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance , MBA or CPA a big plus
• 2-5 years similar work experience
• SAP is required
• Ability to influence and navigate cross-functional teams to accomplish goals
• Strong Excel and system skills
• Perform multiple tasks in a dynamic environment in order to meet deadlines;
