Specialized Group is currently looking for an Engineering Manager for a Mobile Team. Our client is a growing technology startup in Tokyo.

We are searching for an Engineering Manager – Mobile Technology. After signing new clients, and getting expanded funding, our client is planning to double the size of it’s IT team.

As manager of mobile development, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and growth of a team of Android and iOS engineers, some in Tokyo, some offsite. You will oversee maintenance, improvement, and continued development of new features and services for all the applications.

This is a great company with a lot of new products being planned and built. There is a very good mix of international and Japanese staff.

Required Skills

• Business level English
• Japanese business level Japanese preferred
• 5 years’ experience coding both Android and iOS apps
• Experience with mobile software development
• Experience with apps that interact with complex back-ends and hardware
• Demonstrated experience building and leading an engineering team
• Experience working with off-shore development teams
• Strong written and oral communications skills
• Disciplined, detailed-oriented, results driven
