Job Responsibilities
As a Staff Software Engineer, Backend, you will take ownership of the architecture and technical direction of backend systems powering advanced AI products. You will design and build scalable distributed systems, improve system reliability and performance, and drive technical solutions for complex engineering challenges. You will also contribute to engineering excellence by improving development processes, mentoring engineers, and collaborating closely with AI researchers and product teams to deliver innovative products at a global scale.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of backend software engineering experience.
- Strong experience with distributed systems and system design.
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.).
- Proficiency in Go, Rust, or C++.
- Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineers.
- Fluent English communication. Fluency in Japanese is preferred.
