Medical Manager - Rare-disease Hematology

This top global pharmaceutical company with a strong pipeline and strong reputation is hiring for a great role as Medical Manager within Hematology.

The qualified Medical Manager will manage the medical activities (data creation & dissemination) associated with a product (or products) or a therapeutic area (or therapeutic areas), following the Company's global medical strategy.

This adept Medical Manager will contribute strategically to maintaining and expanding the Company's current product range in the therapeutic area as well as ensuring the successful launch of future product(s).

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop a local medical strategy that is in line with the Company's brand strategy and the global medical strategy;
  • Identify critical unmet medical needs and create a medical strategy in line with those needs. Contribute to the business strategy;
  • Develop an integrated evidence generation plan. Conduct local studies.
  • Coordinate with other medical activities to plan and carry out medical and scientific events;
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to design and implement a medical strategy;
  • Work with the MSL team to handle KOLs appropriately and effectively;

  • Provide medical and scientific expertise to other functions; and
  • Plan and manage the budget.

Must-Have Experience (one of the following):

・MD PhD with a history in research (the institution, university or workplace where the research took place are not a big factor of consideration for this position).

・PhD with experience in Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical industry.

Language skills

・English: Business level, especially in reading and writing

・Japanese: Native/Advanced fluency
