Position: VP/Director (Risk Management)

Job Description:

You will primarily be responsible for non-Japanese financial institution counterparties based in US, Europe, and Asia.

Responsibilities include:

• credit analysis, communication with front desks, negotiation of credit covenants, collaboration with global credit risk management teams, and proactive reporting to the Head of the International risk team.
• Periodic evaluations in response to changes in credit limits or potential risk situations, as well as regular annual assessments.
• Maintaining strong collaboration with other members of global credit risk management teams located outside of Japan, to ensure consistency and alignment of credit ratings and assessments for a single counterparty.

Recruitment Background:

Business with Non-Japan FI clients is expanding, and more transactions are needed to meet the business needs. Lead an international team consisting of members from different parts of the world, additionally cooperating with various affiliates internationally.

Office: Based in Tokyo

Qualifications:

Age: Up to late fifties

Professional Experience: Direct or relevant experience in credit risk management in security firms with a minimum of 6 years for VP and a minimum of 10 years for Director, or experience in managing credit risk within Japanese financial institutions with a proven track record of success in the field.

Knowledge of International Swaps and Derivatives Association/ Credit Support Annex, Repo and securities lending agreements, and credit analysis methodologies is required.

Japanese & English Fluent is a must for strong communication and negotiation skills, ability to work in a global team and fluency in English are necessary.
