Corporate In House Counsel

Our client is a retail company with an expanding market presence in Japan. With new E-commerce channels being rolled out they are looking for an experienced lawyer to assist with their legal operations. The role is diverse in the range of contracts and matters you would be involved in and would be a fulfilling position at the core of the companies operations.
Requirements

• Law degree with honors from a good university and law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Japan and/or the US or other common law jurisdiction.
• Strong project management experience.
• Minimum of 3+ years of legal experience at a leading global law firm and/or in-house at a major multinational corporation.
• Enthusiastic personality, enjoys working hard and being challenged, and demonstrates sound judgment even in new situations.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing, draft agreements and negotiate in English and Japanese

Nice to Have:

• In-house experience at a consumer or e-commerce company preferred but not essential.
