By combining receipt OCR data, purchase history, location data, recipe behavior, and first-party consumer data, the company is building infrastructure to transform Japan’s ¥156T consumer market and eventually make supply chains more AI-native.

As Backend Tech Lead, you’ll own some of the hardest technical problems behind that growth:
  • Backend architecture and technical strategy
  • Re-architecture without disrupting a live consumer service
  • Scalability and performance as traffic continues to grow
  • Technical debt reduction and platform modernization
  • System design and engineering standards
  • Mentoring and design/code reviews
  • AI-driven development across the engineering organization
You’ll also work with integrations and traffic from major consumer platforms such as SmartNews and Yahoo! JAPAN.
