Specialized Group are currently looking for a Splunk Engineer. Our client is a leading IT services firm.

You will need expert knowledge of Splunk for this role. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer with solid communication skills.

You will be responsible for performing administration on Hadoop clusters. You will perform tuning and increase operational efficiency as well as monitoring the health of the platform and generating performance reports. You will be working closely with development, engineering and operations teams on key deliverables ensuring production scalability and stability. We expect you to develop and enhance platform best practices. You will ensure the Hadoop platform can effectively meet performance requirements and be responsible for support of Hadoop environment.

You will be working for an international company. You will need XXXX level Japanese and XXXX level English for this position.

Required Skills

• 2 years’ experience with Splunk technical infrastructure
• Experience with the current versions of Splunk is required
• Experience with Splunk Searching and Reporting, Log Management, Knowledge Objects, Administration, Add-On’s, Dashboards, Clustering and Forwarder Management
• Experience with Web Services and Web applications using Java/ J2EE frameworks
• Experience with LINUX and Windows operating systems
• 4 years of IT experience in distributed applications development
• Solid understanding and work experience as a technical architect.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and resolve difficult problems
• Clear and effective communication skills
• Able to provide input in the development of tools and processes to help increase team productivity
• Effectively manage scope and customer expectations on assignments
• Follows through on assignments and take ownership of issues
• Able to think creatively in delivering solutions to customers
• Able to provide quality formal documentation
