Senior Production Service Specialist for Global Investment Bank

Job Overview:

As part of the Wholesale IT, the Production Services team supports a range of innovative solutions for the Middle Office (MO) across multiple business lines.

Responsibilities

• Provide application and user support for all Cash and Fixed income MO applications through interaction with teams of up and down the platform stack
• Promptly and effectively identify and manage any issues to ensure high quality of service to users
• Follow-The-Sun model support but mainly to provide technical support for APAC and India Operations users
• Handle user queries which often require in-depth analysis of the technical and/or business logic of the systems
• Manage incoming and outgoing feeds to clients and vendors
• Improve the supportability and stability of the platform in conjunction with the development team
• Batch and system management

Requirements

Language Skills

• Fluent written and spoken English
• Fluent written and spoken Japanese

Technical Skills

• Java
• Strong SQL (Sybase or MYSQL)
• UNIX shell

Soft Skills

• Prior experience of application support in a banking environment
• Strong MO business knowledge or has keen desire to learn
• Experience of working in a middle office environment
• Experience of managing stakeholder expectations
• Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with internal and external parties
