Your Responsibilities

The position is responsible for all financial functions including Cash Management, Payables, Audit and Controls, Accounting and Reporting, Budget, Credit and Collections, insurance, and tax. The functions are to follow the generally accepted accounting standards. The Finance Director must be able to provide the management team with accurate, timely, and relevant financial information. Additionally, the Finance Director is responsible for delivering outstanding service and financial profitability.

In order to contribute to the overall success of the organization, the Finance Director must effectively manage all financial tasks for the organization and be familiar with a variety of the industry concepts, practices, and procedures. The Finance Director must rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and perform a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor while engaging with internal and external clients.

The Skills and Experience You Need to Succeed

• Fluent-level Japanese.
• Business-level English.
• Able to adopt new technology and equipment to improve productivity.
• Knowledgeable in using internet and email applications
• Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Able to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Skills in the use of Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Knowledgeable of the generally accepted accounting principles (JGAAP).
• Knowledgeable in legislation on Employment Standards, Occupational Health and Safety, and Human Rights.
