Specialized Group is searching for a Director of Finance. Our client is an American television and communication company. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior finance professional to lead an Accounting and Taxation team.

The Finance Director is responsible for analyzing, managing and reporting on our finance workflow.

Duties include:

Managing the operations of General Ledger Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Treasury, Tax and SOX compliance.

Ensuring all procedures are operating well for operational procedures and SOX guidance.

Submitting Japan statutory financial and tax regulatory filings.

Preparing financial statements for management teams.

Team management, train and develop staff.

Communicate with US Corporate Finance to update US GAAP information.

Work with the auditor for statutory and SOX audits.

You will be liaising with Japanese and international teams. Good communication skills are essential. You will need business level English for this role.

Required Skills

• Native-level Japanese
• Business-level English
• Management experience required
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP, Japan GAAP, SOX and tax laws
• SAP General Ledger skills
• Bookkeeping 2nd grade
• US CPA & Japan CPA preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
